The percentage fee formula
Percentage fee = amount × fee rate ÷ 100. Net amount = amount × (1 − fee rate ÷ 100) − fixed charge. A 0.1% rate uses a multiplier of 0.001, not 0.1.
This calculator assumes the fee is deducted from the entered amount and the fixed charge uses the same currency. Units matter: a charge of 1 USDT cannot be added to 1 ETH without conversion.
Example: 1,000 USDT with a 0.1% fee
The percentage deduction is 1,000 × 0.1 ÷ 100 = 1 USDT. With a separate fixed charge of 1 USDT, total fees are 2 USDT and the net amount is 998 USDT.
If the provider charges the fee on top instead, the total cost would be 1,002 USDT. That is a different calculation: amount plus fees rather than amount minus fees.
Gross up to a target receive amount
To receive a net amount N with rate p and fixed charge F, the starting amount is (N + F) ÷ (1 − p ÷ 100). This requires a rate below 100%.
To receive 100 USDT after a 1% deduction and a 1 USDT fixed charge: 101 ÷ 0.99 = 102.020202… USDT. Rounding depends on the venue and asset precision; rounding down can leave the receive amount slightly short.
What the calculation leaves out
Spread is a difference between buy and sell prices and may already be included in a quote. Network charges, withdrawal fees and trading fees can follow different rules. A single universal percentage does not describe them all.
If a charge is denominated in another coin, first convert it to the output currency. CoinCalc can calculate expressions and reference conversions between supported coins; the final order preview is the source for the actual deductions.
Choose the result currency
Choose the amount unit from USD, EUR, GBP, RUB or 50 supported coins. All prices and fixed charges must use that unit. Selecting BTC instead of USDT labels the result; it does not convert entered prices at a market rate. Use the separate coin-pair calculator for conversion.
Calculation questions
What is 0.1% of 1,000?
It is 1 unit of the same currency: 1,000 × 0.1 ÷ 100. Without other charges the net amount is 999.
Does this estimate current Bitcoin or Ethereum network fees?
No. It calculates the percentage and fixed amount you enter. It does not load or estimate current network fees.
